What makes a Studio22 custom canvas stand our from the crowd?
Don’t be fooled, you can get cheap canvas prints and you get what you pay for. At Studio22 we are not trying to be the cheapest. We use the highest quality materials, from the Epson Ultrachome inks and UV protective coatings to the Meranti hardwood stretchers – not to mention the hand crafted stretching and finishing.
By printing on rolls rather than pre-mounted budget options, we are able to offer higher resolution printing, gallery wraps and a selection of 20 or 45 mm deep stretchers. It also allows us to print and stretch almost any size and in some cases, strange shapes. The images below will indicate these alternatives.
Our thanks to Du Wayne Wedding Photography for the use of the images in this blog and on display in Studio22.
Above: A 10×10 inch (275x275mm) canvas on a “Gallery wrap” 20mm stretcher. The “Gallery wrap” needs slightly more image space or bleed as part of the image is wrapped over the edge. This can be done on the thicker 45mm stretcher as well. When splitting an image or displaying multiple images on one wall, the “Gallery wrap”option can ad a degree of depth.
Above: In addition to a standard white wall canvas, we are also able to offer textured of coloured sides. The 20mm canvas below has a pale grey – Black is our second most popular border to white. Our style of printing and stretching also allows us to include any graphics, like logos or text, on the walls of the canvas. This can be used for branding or non-evasive markings – from signatures to numbering of limited editions.
