What is a Cinematic Print Format?

With two Fujifilm Frontier printers, dedicated exclusively to online printing, and streamlined integration with our Dakis online order software, we strive to maintain our position as the fastest photo printing service in the country.
We’re excited to offer our customers six convenient shipping options to choose from. You can opt for Postnet counter to counter, PAXI counter collection, or door-to-door delivery across South Africa. Additionally, we also offer local delivery and in-store pick-up options to make it even easier for you to get your prints. Choose the shipping option that suits you best, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Cape Town’s leading digital print lab for photographic printing. Printing on Fujifilm archival paper, using Fujifilm Frontier DryLab systems. If you are processing your own images, it is vital that you use a calibrated monitor and printer profile.
When will my order be ready?
This is a Blitz Product. Blitz Products operate on a 2-5-day production cycle. Please be aware that the timeline may be subject to change if our production team is at full capacity. Once your order is ready for dispatch or pickup, a notification email will be sent to you from our server.

Pickup or Delivery
Photo Products and Prints can be shipped nationwide, to your door or nearest Postnet or PAXI counter. Production time does not include delivery time.

Mini-Prints
At Studio22, we’re always expanding our range of print options to meet the evolving needs of our customers. One of our most popular formats is the 100x100mm square print, inspired by the large 60x60mm negatives captured by top professional cameras from years past. While it’s referred to as 4×4″ in the US, we prefer to use its true size of 101.6mm.
We’re excited to announce a new addition to our print options: a dynamic format with a 16:9 aspect ratio that provides a cinematic look to any image. This format offers even more options for your printing needs and allows you to crop and view any image in this unique aspect ratio.
Additionally, we’ve seen a recent surge in popularity for mini-prints. While photo books are a cost-effective way to create albums with a variety of sizes and images, mini-prints offer a unique alternative. They’re especially well-suited for use with smartphone cameras and can be quickly printed and shipped nationwide. We highly recommend trying out the 3×4 inch or 75x100mm mini-print format.

Image Overlap / Bleed
We want to bring to your attention a common aspect of the photo printing process that may result in a small portion of your image overlapping the edge of the paper. This is much like the “bleed” seen in other printing processes and is an intentional part of the process to ensure the final product is of the highest quality.
This overlap is necessary to account for slight variations in the trimming process, which can occur during the production of your print. By trimming a small portion of the image that extends beyond the edge of the paper, we can guarantee that the image covers the full extent of paper and that there will be no unsightly white borders around your print.
We understand that this may be a new concept for some of our customers, but rest assured that our team of experts takes great care to ensure that each print is of the highest quality and meets your expectations.
