UV Printing by Studio22:
UV printing allows us to print on a far greater range of substrates and no longer limits us to special papers or vinyl that need to be prepared for printing. Printing is possible on almost anything, from bricks to tiles and wood or metal. It also allows white ink printing. White ink is not only for printing in white, but it also creates a separation from the background colour of the media it is printed on.
We have a number of products but welcome you to contact us if you have something you need to be printed.
Try our existing product range:
Due to the wide range of possibilities, media and options, all custom project will need to be individually quoted. Additional fees apply for white ink use as well as design and or labour. Some surfaces may require primer and testing. Please contact us for a quote or pop in to chat about the possibilities.
What else have we printed on?
In our gallery, you will see we have printed on so many substrates… Genuine and synthetic Leathers, natural and anodised aluminium, various types of acrylic (plexiglass, Perspex), various plastics, various paper products, linen cover material, a Laptop cover, PVA coated wooden products, various wooden items.
About the process:
UV inks are cured with Ultra Violet light, hence the reference to UV. Our system uses a liquid cooled LED lamp mounted on the print head. This means the image is dry before it leaves the print bed. Our UV printer uses the same print head as our photographic printers, so print quality is exceptional. UV Ink is not flexible, so it is best suited for rigid substrates. There are a number of factors that determine what can be printed on, so do not hesitate to contact us, if we have not already printed on a media you want to try, we will be keen to test it too.
