Modern meets rustic, adding the unique element of nature to an image makes it a true ‘one of a kind’. In the digital age where everything can be reproduced, allowing the wood grain to show through the lighter areas of a print has a way of connecting it with nature. The wood is no longer just a backing board or support, it is now part of the image. Can you tell I really like wood prints?

Feature your images on a gorgeous wooden surface with warm tones and natural grain. Images on Wood Prints are printed directly onto the yellow base wood surface, it’s a filter by nature and gives some colours a vintage look. We turn off the white back printing allowing all white or light areas of the image to show the wooden base.
We print on Birch Plywood:

Can I supply my own wood or substrate?
Yes, we can print on almost any flat surface, let us know what you might be thinking of printing on and we will advise you accordingly. Various factors, from weight to dimensions will play a part, but we like to try new things.
We print all sizes on 6mm Birch Ply with a 20mm wall hanging support frame. We have chosen to adhere to strict photographic formats (3:2) for all our standard sizes listed in the price list. Images will be enlarged by approx 2% to allow for the bleed to ensure the image is printed edge to edge. Any image that is not to the correct format will be printed “fill” to fill the print area. We highly recommend you submit your images the correct format if the crop is important. No order can be reprinted if the file is not supplied to the correct format (dimensions and ratio).
Although we take great care to select the best birch panels for your print, knots, filled knot holes and the natural grain of the wood will accept the ink differently. This will result in a beautiful natural wood printed product, but may have natural imperfections and will not be comparable to an image printed on paper. Therefore we cannot consent to reprint for these natural characteristics of the product.
